This is my second post on HCMC. the first was mostly on travel tips and where to eat – I didn’t have much else to write about because all my 20 trips to Saigon over the last five years were all for work.
This week I did something different – finally.
We visited Cu Chi Tunnels – albeit in a different way. There are tonnes of tours going to Cu Chi in the usual tourist way i.e by tour buses. Instead, we opted for the off the beaten track – 30 km of cycling through villages to reach Cu Chi Tunnels. Love this trip and really thanks to the guys who made it possible – the guys from:

I would definitely travel with them again. so the itinerary starts with a pick up at your hotel at about 8am, followed by a trip to the outskirts of HCMC, and then the fun begins at the turn into the villages. There you will see what Vietnam really is – padi fields, water buffalos, bridges, rivers, farmers and fishermen, and kids running after your bike shouting Xin Chao – Hello!
See Vietnam in a totally new light – cycle the villages. I can’t wait to do this again!
